ABSRACT

Equally to different Northern countries, European nation has witnessed a growth in recent years of styles of direct sale of Agri-food merchandise. These alleged short provide chains usually open new opportunities for the event and conservation of rural areas that don’t seem to be simply economic in nature. The case study represented here presents the results of a survey conducted within the Tuscany Region the aim of that was to grasp if and the way direct sale encompasses a half to play in promoting a lot of wide-ranging agricultural systems and in increasing or maintaining agro-biodiversity. The support that the establishments offer for direct sale during this context is thought of as a style of implementation of the FAO International accord on Plant hereditary collateral for Food and Agriculture (ITPGRFA) that European nation has sanctioned and that obliges its acquiring parties to market a property use of plant hereditary collateral.
